JOHNSON, GEORGE ROBERT "BOB"
After a long battle of cancer George Robert B. Johnson "Bob" passed away in his 75th year at home in Seminal Florida.
Bob was born in Saint John New Brunswick and son to the late George and Pat (Patterson) Johnson and was the youngest of three, Frances (Joe) Frazy predeceased and Pat (Reg) Tays currently living in Whitby, Ontario. After leaving high school, bob married Maralyn Gaynes, had a full time job at the Ford Plant in Saint John N.B. Wanting to get away from the city life Bob moved his family to a little Village of Grand Bay where he built his first house and the start of his new career. Over the next 30 years Bob was responsible for the development of Maralyn Crt., Evergreen Dr. Stevens Crt. Valley view, Beverly Hills, Salman Rock and Brandy Point. Taking the little Village of Grand Bay to becoming Town. Alongside the land development the business built Highway, overpasses, sewer treatment plants, and site work for other developments in Saint John and other communities in New Brunswick. Bob always said that his accomplishments was only possible by the many dedicated men and women that worked with him over the years.
Bob love the Lord with all his heart and knew his calling was to help. Opening their home to his children’s youth group, fixing, repairing and mowing lawns of the church; fundraising for renovations and new builds. Giving of himself to help a friend in need. When Bob was asked to do something, it was done 100% and the words were never “well that’s good enough” it was perfect or start over until it is 100%
He will be missed.
