Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on Nov. 30, 1941, passed away in the comfort of her own home, with the company of her two loving daughters on Tuesday May 19, 2015 after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her father Louie Leudy and mother Annie Mae Leudy (nee Smith); brothers, Phillip, Frank and Gerald and twin infant daughter.
Joan was both a loving mother and father to her two daughters, Debbie and Nancy (Kory), loving grandmother and grandfather to her two grandchildren, Chantelle and Brandon (Brian) and loving great-grandmother to Trinity. She was also a loving caregiver to her furry little man Turbo. Much loved and dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Many thanks to the nurses and doctors of the Chemo Department at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, also a special thank you to nurse Debbie Charron, for all the care given to Joan and whose help over the last 2 ½ years is very greatly appreciated.
