BORDAGE, FATHER ADRIEN (Trappistes Monk)
1934 – 2015
ROGERSVILLE - At the Foyer Assomption of Rogersville, Wednesday, May 20th, 2015, at the age of 81, passed away father Adrien Bordage. Born March 5th, 1934, he was the son of the late Antoine and Late Marguerite Bordage.
He is survived by two brothers : Éloi (Roselynne) et Albert (Maria) both from Aldouane; three sisters: Léocadie from St-Louis, Evelynne from St-Stephens and Cécile (Alyre) from St-Charles; one brother-in-law Méderic (late Léa), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Three brothers: Ulysse, Léo and Dolphé, four sisters: Zélia, Marianne, Flora and Léa precede Father Adrien in grave.
September 6th, 1946, Father Adrien join Juvenat at the Trappistes. August 22nd, 1949 he became Trappistes Monk. May 18th, 1952, he began his temporary profession and on May 22nd, 1955, he began his solemn profession. On July 1st, 1956 he was ordinate Priest. October 22nd, 1991 he was elected Abbey. On December 8th, 1992 he received the Abbey benediction from Bishop Donat Chiasson. Father Adrien resign as Abbey February 20th, 1993.
The remains of Father Adrien will be resting at the Rogersville Trappistes Chapel, 11505, Highway 126, Friday, May 22nd, 2015 beginning at 2:30pm. The funeral will be held at the Trappistes chapel Saturday May 23rd, at 2pm. Visiting hours: Friday from 2:30pm to 8pm, and Saturday from 8am to 1pm.
