William (Bill) Howard
1922 - 2015
William (Bill) Howard passed peacefully at Ridgewood Veterans Center on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
Bill was a veteran of the WWII, retired from the City of Moncton, employed as a mechanic. He was an avid ball player, loved curling, darts, skating and dancing which kept him young. Born in Saint John, NB, son of the late William and Elsie (Shanks) Howard.
Bill leaves behind his daughter Shelley Howard, two sons Bill and Randy (Dianne), son-in-law George Duff, eight grandchildren; Jimmy, Leslie, Casey, Carmen (Jarrod) Peckham, Jennifer, Jacob, Geoffrey and Simon as well as several great grandchildren and special friend Shirley Hopper.
Besides his parents Bill was predeceased by his wife Irene (Arsenault), daughter Christine Duff.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Monday, May 25 from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
