Helena Poirier, 79, of the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Bouctouche and formerly of Baie de Bouctouche, passed away peacefully at the Manoir, on Thursday May 21, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was married to the late Maxime Poirier (2001).
Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Laura (Jaillet) Allain.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Clémence Cormier (Ronald) of Shediac, Auréa Richard (Elie) of Moncton, Dianne Poirier (Raymond Savoie), Mike (Tiffany), both of Baie de Bouctouche, her six grandchildren; Cindy, Kelly, Tim, Tina, Rémi and Morgan, her three great-grandchildren; Jason, Alyson, and Gracie.
She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Louisa Allain (Jean Mazerolle) and Diana Cormier (Léo Brideau), both of Baie de Bouctouche and several nieces and nephews.
Helena was predeceased by two sisters; Lauretta and Auréa and one brother, André.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église in Bouctouche, on Monday May 25, 2015 from 7 to 9pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 3:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at 4:00pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In Helena’s memory a donation can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation, oncology department.
