The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, of Dennis J. McCormick, Charlottetown, age 73 years, husband of Elaine (Wedge) McCormick. He was born May 31, 1935, son of the late Herb and Alice (Gallant) McCormick. Dear father to Alan (Sheri), Colleen (Brian) Gallant, Blaine (Darlene), and Laura Lee (Farris) Tawil. Loving grandfather of Heidi, Kristen, Mitchell, Matt McCormick, Vanessa Handrahan, Andrea, Matthew, and Mike Cameron, Crystal and Chastity Gallant and great grandfather of Makayla Arsenault. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Jane Wedge, brothers, Wayne (Lena) Brown, Frank (Eileen) Brown, Merina Blanchard, Letha (Claude) Perry, Lorraine (Bernie) Gallant, and brothers-in-law, David (Rosie) Wedge, Junior (Jane) Wedge, and sisters-in-law, Linda (Stephen) McCue and Beverley (Roland) Gaudet. He was predeceased by his parents, Herb and Alice, son Herb, stepfather, Ferdinand Brown, father-in-law, Clarence Wedge, and brother-in-law Leo Blanchard. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Wednesday 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held Friday, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road with funeral mass at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to Camp Genchef would be greatly appreciated
