CAREW, Sister Mona, RSM–Entered into eternal life at McAuley Convent, January 26, 2009, Sister Mona Carew, age 81 years. Predeceased by her parents Gerald and Ida (Myler) Carew of St. John’s, her brother Tom and sister-in-law Patricia Carew. Leaving to mourn her Religious Congregation, the Sisters of Mercy; her brother Stan Carew (St. John’s) and sister-in-law Elizabeth Carew (Halifax), several devoted nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins and friends. Waking at McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John’s on Tuesday, January 27, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, January 28 until 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 29, 2009, 9:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish Church, Waterford Bridge Road with interment to follow at the Sisters of Mercy plot in Belvedere Cemetery.
