A. Mary "Mollie" Kernohan
PARRSBORO – A. Mary “Mollie” Kernohan (Jones), on June 4, 2015 Mollie passed away peacefully at home aged 89, surrounded by family and friends.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Born in Manchester, England, Mollie immigrated to Canada in 1950 to join her family in Oxford. She nursed in Truro before she married David and moved to their farm in Parrsboro.
Mollie was constantly busy with crafts, painting, bird-watching, her horses and all the other animals on the farm. She was the heart of the farm, and welcomed everyone with warm smiles, hot cups of tea, and delicious treats that turned friends into family. She was an active member of the St. George’s ACW.
Mollie is survived by her son Andrew, daughter-in-law Anne MacLellan, daughter Ann, and granddaughter Mary.
She was predeceased by her husband David and her daughter Mary.
A memorial service was held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 4pm in St. George’s Anglican Church, Parrsboro, with Rev. Dawn Léger officiating. A reception followed at the farm.
