At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, of
Alexander (Wayne) McKinnon, Charlottetown, and formerly of Alberton, age
64 years. Beloved son of the late Ronald D. and Margaret Isabel
(Barrett) McKinnon. Dear father of Ron (Mary Ann), Ottawa; Chuck
(Jennifer), Calgary; Karleen Thibeault, Calgary; Ronalie Rhodes (Jay),
Alberta; Belinda Garlough (Richard), Calgary; Nicole Betournay (Tom),
Calgary, and Josh McKinnon, Charlottetown. Dear brother of Charles (Pat),
Calgary; Verna MacPhee (Arnold), Alberton; Patsy Carlson (Ken), Black
Falds, Alta.; Garth (Brenda), Summerside; Keith (Shannon), Winnipeg; Bill
(Pat), Summerside. Also survived by his stepmother, Betty McKinnon,
Alberton, by his brother-in-law, Grant Butler, Montrose, and by numerous
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Ronnie Rose Butler.
Resting at Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, for visitation Monday 2-4 and
7-9. Funeral Tuesday morning from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, with
funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Tignish branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of
