BADCOCK, Hubert Basil – January 21, 1930 - January 28, 2009. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 of Torbay, (formerly of Shearstown) after a short illness surrounded by his loving family, Mr. Hubert Basil Badcock. Predeceased by parents Tom and Florence; brothers: Jessie (Mary), Gordon, Alymer (Trixie); brothers-in-law Bill Stratton and Carl Granter. Leaving to mourn with precious memories his loving partner and sole mate of several years Maureen Bolger; sons: Thomas (Betty) Badcock, Rickey (Sonya) Badcock; daughter Linda (Rendell) Drover; also mother of children Marina; sisters: Ina Stratton, Isabel Granter, Marjorie (Herb) Carruthers; brother David (Marion); sister-in-law Edith; grandchildren: Gregory (Cindy) Drover, Cherie (Tony) Fry, Tiffany, Katie, Vanessa, Dwayne, Travis, Joanne; great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Courtney; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation Thursday 7-9 p.m., Friday 10-12 Noon, 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. A private family service will take place at a later date.
