BIGGAR, GLADYS
Surround by her loving family, Gladys Myrtle Biggar, passed away peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice on Monday, June 22, 2015. Born 1929 in Chipman, NB she was the daughter of the late Victor and Clara (Doherty) West.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ernest Biggar; brother Gerald West; sisters Nina Stewart, Sylvia Huntjens and Anne Bishop.
She is survived by her son Michael Biggar (Sandi) of Saint John; grandchildren Sarah, Jessie and Colin; brother Keith West (Mary) of Chipman; sisters Edythe Jardine of Chipman, and Patricia Jorden (David) of Ripples; special friends Shirley Fairweather and Anne Burns both of Saint John; many nieces and nephews.
Gladys had worked at Woolworths and retired from Baxter Dairy’s. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Saint John Chapter 14. She will be sadly missed and always remembered by all who knew her.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Red Bank Cemetery, Chipman, NB at a later date.
