Germaine Marguerite Maillet, 91, of Foyer Père Fiset, Cheticamp, died June 26, 2015, at Foyer Père Fiset.
Born in Cheticamp, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Germaine loved playing cards 200, bridge or any game going. She loved people's company like going to the casino, always enjoyed cooking for everyone and made sure that you had a bite to eat before leaving. Family was a priority for her and she always liked having reunions especially with the grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, Camille (Evangeline), Clifford (Lucie) and Andre (Priscille); daughters, Suzette Chiasson (Emile), Patricia Gallant (Isidore), Mabel Gardner (Phil), Yolande Pritchard (Alistair); 14 grandchildren, Jennifer, Kim, Allen, Ronald, Stéfan, Cheryl, Angèle, Tanya, Jonathan, Mireille, Amélie, Michelle, Rémi, Lynn; 10 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband Paul Emile Maillet, brother, Eddy LeBlanc and sisters, Madeleine Roach and Henriette Aucoin.
Visitation at Cheticamp Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral mass at St. Peter's Church, Cheticamp, 10:30 a.m. Monday. Interment in the parish cemetery.
