DONNA M. CLARK
Nov. 21, 1933 - May 26, 2015

After a long struggle with Alzheimer's, Donna is now free and running like a deer through wheat fields, skating like the wind, or sailing on the salty waters of the Pacific. Donna was born to parents Lindsay & Mary Clark in Hart, SK. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Leslie, Gerald, Leonard, and brother-in-law Charles Elsom. She is survived by her partner of 37 years, Barb Ross; her sister Shirley Wenaas (Gene), sister Elizabeth Elsom, brother Lindsay (Lorraine) from Saskatchewan, and brother David from Australia; her sister-in-laws Arlene & Mary Anne Clark, plus many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Donna was a very accomplished athlete, competing & excelling in many team sports. She is inducted into 3 Halls of Fame: in Saskatchewan, for hockey; in Alberta for softball; and in British Columbia for curling. Donna was born & raised in the Hart district and attended Clysdale School, then moved to Moose Jaw, played hockey for the Wildcats, and softball for the MJ Royals. She will be dearly missed but always remembered for her caring, gentle nature and a laugh that made everyone laugh. She lived her life as she wanted, cherishing yesterday, dreaming of tomorrow, and loving and laughing every day. In her heart, she was a prairie girl. She is now at peace, joining many family & friends that have gone before her. We are grateful for the wonderful staff an Nanaimo Senior Village, who cared for her the last two years. a Celebration of Donna's Life will take place in Nanaimo and in Hart Saskatchewan, where she will be laid to rest.
