Passed peacefully away on July 10, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, Daphne Maureen Skanes (nee Porter), aged 56 years. Pre deceased by parents Albert and Maureen. Left with fond and loving memories her devoted husband Robert; children Bobby, Karalyn (Troy), Bradley (Becky); sisters and brother Cyndy (Kip), Carol Anne (John), David (Angie), Bridget (John) and Sonya; grandchildren Emily, Alexander, Finn and Mia; as well as other relatives and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Catherine Popadiuk and Dr. Patricia Power, nurses in the ICU and 4th floor at the Health Sciences Centre. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday, July 12 from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, July 13 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 14 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
