Geok Eng Mary (nee Ho)
passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Mary loved much and was much loved. She was the most caring and gentle mother a son could ask for and every instance of beauty in this world is a reminder of her. All who met her could not help but be touched by her in a special way and we are all the better because of it. Therefore, even though she is gone, she lives on through all of us and will never be forgotten. Leaving to mourn: her loving husband Timothy; her beloved sons Joseph (Megan O'Brien), Peter (Susan Hawkins), and James; her brother Aloysius Ho (Christina); her sisters Florence (Anthony Ngu), Ho Chin Choo, and Chin Ai; nephews and nieces; her furry canine companions Raja and Bruno; and a large circle of family and friends. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Lawton's Pharmacy (Centennial Square), Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Centre, and the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre who cared for her so respectfully and lovingly. We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to family and friends for support during her illness. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Mary Queen of the World Parish, Topsail Road. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Lung Association, Diabetes Association, The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre or to the SPCA.
