With sadness in our hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Lillian DesRoches.
She was predeceased by her husband George as well as all 6 of her siblings.
She was mother to seven children, Louise Corey (Wally), Jeanette Armand (Audrey Willsie), Michael, Paul, Joyce, Francine (Howard Bailey) and Robert; grandmother to 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Lillian was a hard working mother, working alongside her husband, George, in their apple orchard. She still had time for dewing quilts, crafting and enjoying her many friends and neighbours. She spoke grequently of the good old days but still enjoyed new technology.
We want to express a big thank you to Doris Howe and all her family. They welcomed Lil and George as new neighbours and remained good friends to the end.
We would also like to thank Dr. Haines and his staff in Gagetown for their care over the years. The staff in the ER at the O.P.H. and D.E.C.R.H. showed great care and attention in treating our mother as well.
Visitation will take place at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11 am with refreshments to follow.
