DOUGHERTY, DANIEL
Daniel Patrick Dougherty of Timberlea, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the age of 67. Daniel was a son of the late Gregory and Marie Dougherty (Murray), of Saint John, NB, he moved to Nova Scotia in the 70’s to start a family and pursue his career at The Shaw Group.
He enjoyed sailing in his early life and eventually playing golf, which he watched religiously.
Daniel is survived by his daughter Kathryn, Toronto, and son Michael, Halifax; his sisters; Martha (Eric Young), Saint John, NB, and Ann (Gary Nesbit), Lower Sackville. Daniel will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews and his extended family in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario.
In accordance with Daniel’s wishes, a private burial will be held in Nova Scotia.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice in memory of Daniel would be appreciated.
