September 27, 1920 – July 17, 2015

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Sarah LaFosse (nee Piercey) announces her peaceful passing on Friday July 17 at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 94 years. Born at Richards Harbour NL, Margaret was the daughter of the late John Henry and Sarah Piercey. She was also predeceased by her first husband Thomas Barter, second husband Freeman LaFosse, sisters; Mary Piercey, Effie Stoodley, Flossie Wilson, Laura Piercey, Olivia Piercey, brother Garfield Piercey, and step daughter Maude Bradley. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her daughter Mary (Lloyd) Mushrow Port aux Basques, son Kenneth Barter (Karen) St. John's NL. Grandchildren; Lloyd (Donna) Mushrow St. John's NL, Nadine (Harvey) Hickey Cape Ray, Madonna (Basil) MacIsaac Lac La Biche AB, Nancy Mushrow (Dave) Lower Sackville NS, Tammy (Chris) Leary PEI, Ken Barter Jr. (Sarah), T.J. (David) Bowerman all of Edmonton AB, Shelly (Ben) Cavanaugh Florida USA, Kenneth (Doreen) Bradley Dartmouth NS, Edward Bradley (Wendy) Halifax NS. 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends including her friends at Mountain Hope Manor where she resided. Visitation took place on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Tuesday July 21, 2 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard, interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
