The death occurred at the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth, N.S., on Friday, January 30, 2009 of Ethel Sarah Thompson, of Russell Street, Dartmouth, N.S., aged 81 years. Born in Wellington, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Isabel (Morrison) Ferguson. Survived by her sons, Wayne, Dartmouth, N.S.; and Gary, Halifax, N.S.; sisters Rena Bell, Bridgewater, N.S.; Mildred Barlow, Wellington; and Mae Clark, Belmont, Lot 16; grandchildren Margaret “Peggy” Mitchell and David Mitchell Jr. Predeceased by her loving husband Wilfred; daughter Dianne Mitchell; and by a brother Ivan in infancy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to the Central Lot 16 United Church, for funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Central Lot 16 United Church Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday from 6-9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Central Lot 16 United Church Cemetery Fund or Epilepsy P.E.I. would be appreciated.
