Norman Overdijk
Born: November 22nd, 1960
Born in Belleville, Ont., Nov. 22, 1960 to John and the late Wilma Overdijk.
Norm is survived by his wife Murdena (Jenkins) of 25 years; sons Joshua and Luke and daughter Lucia (his special angel); father John; brother Herman (Yvonne), many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his special companions Lily and Thunder.
Norm was a 'one of a kind guy' and touched many peoples lives. He made life time friends where ever in the world he went. He lived life to the fullest and loved people no matter who they were or where they lived, but most of all his three children were his pride and joy. He was a avid poker player and his style was not to sit around waiting to win, it was "all you can eat baby".
Norm will be sadly missed by all his extended family and friends which are many. Life will never be the same without you Norm!
A celebration of life will take place at Greenwood United Church on Saturday, July 25 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Alison Etter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. There will be a celebration in Dartmouth at Montes Show Bar Wednesday, July 29 between 3-9 p.m. Funeral under the direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck N.S.
