MERCER, Mr. David M. — Passed peacefully away at his late residence, Trepassey on Friday, January 30, 2009, Mr. David Maxwell Mercer, aged 79 years (formerly of Bay Roberts). Mr. Mercer was a retired employee of the Dept. of Transportation after 35 years service. Predeceased by his parents: John and Fannie Mercer; brother: Harris, deceased in World War II and brother-in-law; John Russell. Leaving to mourn wife Irene Mercer; son: Donald (Roberta) Mercer; daughter: Marilyn (David) Fudge) sisters: Gertrude Russell, Lulu (James) Baggs; grandchildren: Michael (Mandy), Brad (Charlene), Nadine (Bobby), Gina; great-grandchildren: Caleb and Landon, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation Sunday 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; Monday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. from Central United Church, Bay Roberts. Interment in the Central United Cemetery, Bay Roberts.
