Major George Cave passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, August 3, 2015 at age 85 years. He leaves to morn his beloved wife of 61 years, Winnie (nee Crann); daughters Sandra Ash (Don) and Diane (Steve Crocker); and grandchildren Stephen and Jia Cave-Crocker. Survived by his sister Violet Thomas; brothers Ross (Norma) and Jim (Rosalind); sisters-in-law Lena, Ann, Ruby Leawood (Marvin), Lizzie Newhook (Bob), Matilda Crann and Mildred Gilbert. He will also be sadly missed by a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday, August 4, 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 5, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at the Salvation Army Temple, Torbay Road on Thursday, August 6 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery on Blackmarsh Road.
