It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Shirley Ann (Fudge)Brown, 64 on Aug. 4, 2015 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Lomond) Fudge.
Shirley is survived by her children, Georgina (Mike) McGuigan, North Sydney, Rodney (Ali) Fudge, Sudbury, Gordon (Cheryl) MacGillivary, Sydney; stepsons, Eddie Brown, Sydney, Jason (Diana) Brown, Sydney Forks; her 11 precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Minnie Noseworthy (Robert), Baddeck; brothers, Edward (Angela), North Sydney, Clarence (Marie) Port Hawksbury, Gerald (Brenda), Lower Sackville, Morgan (Kerrianne), Sydney, George (Margie), Sydney; sister-in-law, Francine, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, George MacGillivary and her second husband, Charles Brown; brother, John in infancy and granddaughter.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 from 12- 2 p.m. at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Burial to follow in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
