Grande-Digue, NB – Eric Arsenault, 70, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Aurèle and Gertrude (Comeau) Arsenault.
Eric was a well-respected man and involved in his community. Recently he was able to enjoy his new red Spyder, an awesome trip to Alberta to visit Mike and Leighsa, as well as a trip around the Cabot Trail with Nicole, Bob and his beloved grandson, Jacob.
Eric will be sadly missed by his son, Mike (Leighsa) of Glendon, AB; his daughter, Nicole Brennan (Bob) of Terrebonne, QC; his five brothers, Pierre (Gloria) of Caissie Cape, Normand of Moncton, Raymond (Linda) of Bouctouche, Gérald (Anne-Marie) of Moncton, André (Verna) of Grande-Digue; his four sisters, Louise Gilbert of Moncton, Simone Arsenault (Gérald) of Balmoral, Suzanne Hopper (Jim) of Moncton and Denise Arsenault (Jim) of Grande-Digue; his grandson, Jacob; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lucille (2014).
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral mass will be held at the La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11 am. Reception will follow.
Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
