STEEVES, HEDLEY DONALD
Hedley D. Steeves, 92, of the Jordan Lifecare Centre and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, August 7, 2015. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Nobel and Bertha (Horsman) Steeves.
Hedley will be sadly missed by his daughter, Paula Kelly and son, Hedley Steeves Jr. (Betty) both of Indian Mountain; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley MacKinnon of Moncton and Hilda Jones (Vaughn) of Indian Mountain; brothers, David of Irishtown and Douglas of Indian Mountain; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Beulah I. (Melvin) Steeves; brothers, John, Francis, Evans, Claude, Ross, Earl, Ronald and William.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), with visiting hours on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Hedley’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment to be held at Stilesville Cemetery.
In memory of Hedley, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
