ACKERMAN, Howard - Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on Thursday, January 29, 2009, Howard Ackerman, age 80 years of Centreville. Predeceased by his parents John and Susannah; step-father Harold Pickett; brothers: Lester, Joseph; sisters: Stella, Pearl and Honor. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Margaret; two daughters: Lorraine, Patricia (Jerry Lush) all of Centreville; two grandsons: Kerry (Tracy) of Bauline, Jamie (Sherry) of Bradford, Ontario; five great-grandchildren: Tianna, Cruz, Tanya, Porsha and Drew; one sister Katherine (Carl Davis) of Centreville and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville on Sunday, February 1 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Margaret Hall officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Centreville. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove/Musgrave Harbour.
