JACQUARD, Sylvia Selcia – Age 91, of The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, passed away on August 10, 2015 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on June 24, 1924, she was a daughter of the late, Thomas and Frances (Deveau) Muise. Sylvia was a Lifetime member of the Yarmouth Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61 for over 40 years. She is survived by her children, Carol Dulong, Sandra Jacquard, Nelson Jacquard and Harvey Jacquard; siblings, Marjorie Muise, Jacqueline Doucette, David Muise and Paul Muise. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Jacquard; children, Tommy, Marie and Everett; sisters, Ivy, Marie, Vivian, Lottie, Neddie, Kay and Gertrude; brothers, Ronald, Benny, Irvin, Bradford, Ernest and Harvey. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Wednesday, August 12 from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home in Yarmouth, with a Royal Canadian Legion Service at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service was held in H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. A burial was held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth, following the service.
