Dot was a wonderful person who had an incredibly strong work ethic. She loved her family with all her heart and they were they center of her life. Dot loved spending time in Margaree with her family and friends, where she had many great memories. She was a kind and caring woman and a busy mom but also worked in the family business. At home, she always had an "open door" policy where everyone was welcomed and she treated everyone as family. She was an amazing baker and her favourite things to make were: homemade bread, hot cross buns and pies.
Dot was a longtime member of TOPS and CWL.
At the family's request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bras d’Or, on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating.
Following interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, the family will receive friends at The Bras d’Or Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dorothy’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
