Peacefully at Wedgewood Manor on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, of Hazel Eva Ellis formerly of Tyne Valley aged 96, wife of the late George Ellis. Born on Nov. 4, 1912, in Granville, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Taylor) Folland. Cherished mother of Burton (Erma) Ellis, Tyne Valley, Edgar (Margo) Ellis, Calgary, Alta., Muriel (Elwell) Grigg, Tyne Valley. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Hilda Folland, Summerside, Gladys Lecky, Summerside, Elvira Gorrill, Mass., Bertha MacLeod, Sackville, N.B. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Fred, sisters, Verna (Wendell) Dyment, Florence (Elmer) Baker and Ruth (George) Christopherson, brothers-in-law, Leonard (Lois) Ellis, Leo Lecky, Herman Gorrill and Wallace MacLeod. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday at the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. Memorials to the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church or Stewart Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
