CATHERINE COAKLEY
Card of Thanks
Catherine (Rogers) Coakley
July 9, 1922 – June 10, 2015
We, the family of Catherine Coakley, wish to extend our appreciation to all those who showed their thoughtful support at the time of our loss. Thank you to those who phoned, e-mailed, dropped by, sent food, mass cards, enrollments, flowers and made donations in her memory. We were grateful for those who visited at her wake and shared stories about her and Uncle Alex. Thank you to those who attended her Funeral Mass and offered their prayers for her.
Thank you as well to the staff of the Emergency Room at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, who gave great comfort to her during her brief illness, and to Doctor Knott for his abiding care and friendship over many years. To the staff of Teresa Terrace at the Northside Community Guest Home, thank you for your compassionate care and dedication to our aunt.
Thank you to Father J.J. MacDonald and Father Patrick O’Neill who blessed Aunt Kay with the Last Sacrament, and to Father Everett MacDow and Father Conrad Edwards for concelebrating her Funeral Mass. We were greatly comforted by Father MacDow’s faith inspired homily of hope. Thank you to Sharon Ianetti, organist, Belinda Gillis, who led the Responsorial Psalm, and the Holy Family Funeral Choir who provided uplifting hymns during her funeral celebration.
The family deeply appreciated the faithful service of the CWL of Holy Family Parish who prayed at Aunt Kay’s wake, lead an honor guard at her Funeral Mass and provided a beautiful luncheon afterwards.
Thank you to the pallbearers: Hal MacLean, John Thomas Rogers, Tristan Rogers, Michael Rogers, Bryan Steele and John Rogers; the gift bearers: Trina Rogers and Tristan Rogers; the readers: John Thomas Rogers, Bev MacLean and Sharon Cuddy and the altar servers, who assisted at her Funeral Mass. We offer our deepest appreciation to the staff of Jobes’ Funeral Home and to Mr. Jobes for the dignified care that they provided our aunt.
We will always be grateful for the kindness shown by everyone.
