It is with deep sadness that the family of John Leonard Cosman announces his sudden passing at Moncton Hospital on Saturday August 22, 2015. He was born December 24, 1927, in Moncton, the eighth of fifteen children to the late Fred and Annie (Dobson) Cosman.
John will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 66 years Ruth Elizabeth (Cunningham); two daughters, Susan (Dane) Tremblay of Grand Lake and Barbara McPhee of Saint John; and five loving grandchildren, Beth (James Parmelee) Tremblay of Ottawa, Craig Tremblay of Halifax, Laura McPhee of Saint John, Brendan (Becky Whitters) McPhee of Fredericton, and Lucas McPhee of Saint John; sister, Ann Manning of Sussex; and brother Bob Cosman of Toronto, ON.
John was employed as manager of Dominion Stores in Moncton for 35 years. He lived for over 40 years in Riverview, where he attended St. Paul’s United Church, was a scout leader, 35+ year member of the United Commercial Travellers, member of the Knights of Pythias and a life member of the Riverview Lions Club. John and Ruth shared everything in life, including a love of dancing; for years they were active in square, round and ballroom dancing and gave lessons in Hampton and Miramichi. They have enjoyed the past ten years at People’s Park Towers where they have remained active in many organizations.
