KYLE, AUDREY
Audrey "Nod" Kyle, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2015 from complications arising from cancer. Born in Moncton, daughter of the late Murray and Blanche Northrup.
Wife to Dean for more than 54 years, mother to Dan (Deane) MacKenzie (Laura), sister to Norma, Janet and Russell (Shirley), grandmother to Madeline, Aiden, Nicolas, Jonathan and Matthew, and friend to so many.
Nod lived a full life. Most frequently compared to a hummingbird, she was always in motion and looking forward to what came next. She and Dean moved households more than 20 times (including living in three different countries) before discovering Victoria, BC in 1983. Although they stopped changing locales, she never slowed down, whether she was taking care of her garden, looking after the many dogs and cats that were part of her life, sailing on Tolic or hiking in the Olympic Mountains.
She and Dean made many friends over the years, none more dear than "The Old Fogies", although they were far from old when they first met more than 30 years ago.
She was a one of a kind lady and the foundation of her family.
To honour her, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Rotary Lodge in Mapleton Park on September 20 from 2 to 4pm.
