PARSONS, ALLAN ROBERT AUBREY
1937 - 2015
Allan Parsons,78, of Alma passed away on August 26th, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital. He was born in Alma on February 21, 1937 the son of the late Thomas and Irene (Hopper) Parsons.
Allan served with the Royal Canadian Army for 12 years. During that time he served in the Royal Guard for Princess Margaret. He worked for the Department of Transport for 35 years as an Electrical Inspector for Eastern Canada and retired in March of 1991. After retirement he worked for Donovan Associated INC as an Electrical Technologist and answered thousands of local calls for many people in the local and surrounding areas. He never turned down a request no matter how big or small. He then worked as an outdoor guide for Fundy Outfitters. He absolutely loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was known for his moose calling abilities. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going out on his son's lobster boat, travelling abroad with family and friends. He also enjoyed many intense and fun card games, which he rarely lost. His little grin and his great laugh will definitely live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Marion (Tingley) Parsons; daughter, Sharon McBrine (Garry) of Nauwigewauk; son, Tom Parsons (Lisa) of Beaverbrook; cherished grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Amie-Sue, Jessica, Nikki, Jared, Colton and Hailey; his six precious great grandchildren; sister, Judy Cohen (Harvey) of Moncton; in-laws, James Wiseman of Geary, Joyce Parsons of Moncton, Viola Parsons of Moncton, Barbara Wyers (Baden) of Hampton and Beulah Michelin of Waterside. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by sons, Christopher and Paul; brothers, Clifford (Jackie), Theodore, William; sisters, Shirley Best (Earl) and Kathleen Wiseman; brother-in-law, Herb Tingley.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Friday evening from 6 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Immediately following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home reception area. Interment will be in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, Albert County, NB.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Bayview Cemetery or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated.
