LEONARD A. “SANDY” COOKE

We the family of the late Sandy Cooke wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and neighbors for the kindness they have shown during our recent loss. For those who sent food, sympathy cards, memorial donations, flowers, monetary donations, made phone calls, visited our homes and those who travelled to be with us we truly appreciate your kindness.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the hematology department 8A and 8BMT Centennial Building VG Site Halifax for their care and compassion.
We would like to thank Rev. Glen Kent, Rev Roz MacLeod, alter-servers, organist and choir of Christ the King Church for a memorable service. Thank-you also to Rose MacEachern and Marc Chiasson for delivering the readings, as well as the ACW for a beautiful lunch following the service, it was greatly appreciated.
We would like to thank Colin Grant for his tunes during the service as well as a huge appreciation for the tune he composed for Sandy – Papa Cooke’s Waltz we will be eternally grateful.
To the pallbearers: Joey MacEachern, Brandon MacSween, Wayne Vance, Dick Gaigneur, John Capstick, Andrew Polegato, to the honorary pallbearers: Blair MacSween, Bill Vasil, Doug MacDougall, Dave Cameron and Mike “Sharky” Campbell you were all very special to Sandy and we his family want to thank-you.
To Mark, Helen and the staffs of the workplaces of Sandy and Sheila we would like to thank-you for your concern and compassion during this difficult journey your help was greatly appreciated.
To Marc, Lorraine and Myrna we will be forever grateful to you and your families for the never ending care, concern and compassion shown Sandy during his stays at hospital in Halifax your never ending help will be forever remembered thank-you.
To our special friends and neighbors Blair and Evelyn MacSween there are no words to convey our thanks and gratitude to you for all you did for Sandy and his family during this difficult time and always you are the best and we appreciate and are grateful to you and your family.
A sincere thank-you to the staff of T.W.Curry’s Funeral Home, Sydney for your professionalism and compassion throughout this difficult time.
Sandy will be missed forever, but we know he will live in the hearts of all who shared their grief with us during this difficult time. God Bless you all.
