ROSE, Freda Kathleen – age 70, of Hebron, NS passed away peacefully on Sunday August 30, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. A lifelong resident of Yarmouth County, Freda was born January 8, 1945 in Overton, N.S to the late Everett and Joyce (Young) Morton. Freda started her 35th year teaching career in Hebron and finished in South Central teaching to special education students. Freda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Basil; her sons, Bruce (Denise) and Curtis (Samantha); her brothers, Edward (Joyce), Allan (Shirley). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Britney, Keith and Trinity; her nieces, and nephews and the Rose Family. She will be missed by her many good friends. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Wednesday Sept 2, 2015 from 7-9 pm in Sweenys Funeral Chapel. Funeral was held Thursday Sept 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm from Sweenys Funeral Chapel, Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment took place in the Port Maitland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Freda’s memory to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
