Joseph McMullen

We the family of Joseph McMullen wish to extend our appreciation for the love and support shown to us at the time of our loss. Thank you to those who phoned, dropped by, brought food, sent sympathy cards, mass offerings, enrollments, flowers and made generous donations to various charities. We are grateful for those who visited at his wake and who attended his Funeral Mass.
We deeply appreciate the faithful care given to him over many years by Dr. Jim MacKillop.
Thank you to Father Daniel Boudreau and Father Albert Maroun for concelebrating his Funeral Mass and to Father Maroun for his wonderful homily. Thank you to Immaculate Conception organist and choir for their beautiful selection of hymns.
Thank you to the pallbearers, his nephews: Donald, Michael and Patrick MacKenzie, Stephen and Andrew Sutherland, Michael MacNeil and Michael Joseph McMullen; the readers, his nieces: Paula Mulvihill and Patricia McMullen; his nieces who offered the intentions: Betty and Jo-Ann Davis and the gift bearers, his nieces: Michele Scott and Meg MacKenzie.
Thank you to Piper Courtney MacPherson for his beautiful rendition of “Highland Cathedral” and “My Home” as he lead the Funeral Procession of Joseph’s flag draped casket from the church to his final place of rest.
We offer our deepest appreciation to Branch 12 Legion for their honor guard and their solemn service of the Last Post at his funeral.
Thank you to Immaculate Conception CWL for their support, prayers and beautiful luncheon after the mass and burial.
Thank you to Rita Tompkins and Kirk Neville and the staff of Curry’s Funeral Home for the dignified care and consolation they provided.
Joseph was a special person in every way. He was honorable, dignified, a man of great integrity with a deep, abiding love for his family.
We mourn his passing but are left better people because of who he was and what he gave of himself to all of us.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith”
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember him.”
Thank you, dear friends.
