It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Rose Downey announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Wednesday, September 9th, 2015 at the age of 77 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Michele Downey in St. George's, her sister Loretta McGee in Cox Heath, Nova Scotia. Also leaving to mourn her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, her parents John and Rita and her three brothers. Visitation will take place on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 from St. Joseph's Parish in St. George's from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 12th at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery on Brook Street in Stephenville Crossing.
