Brace, Floyd Raphael
1938 – 2015
Floyd Brace of Turtle Creek passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, September 10, 2015. Born in Birch Ridge, he was the son of the late Herbert and Mabel (Little) Brace.
Floyd worked for Atlantic Engine Rebuilders for 38 years. He then began a career as a school bus driver. He thoroughly enjoyed his job as he had a love for children. In his off season he took advantage of enjoying the hot dry weather to the fullest when it came to camping including four years in Florida and other outdoor activities. He will always be remembered as someone who loved to laugh especially with his unique sense of humour.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Carol (Tingley) of 49 years; cherished children, Shelley (Hazen) of Osborne Corner, Tanya (Jim) of Riverview, Troy (Mandy) of Turtle Creek, Danny Parlee who was just like a son to Floyd; his precious grandchildren, Ashley, Katelyn, Dakota, Taylor, Michael and Jacinta; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Floyd was predeceased by an infant son, Peter, and a brother, Bonar.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, (869-2007) on Sunday from 6:30 to 9:00pm. A service celebrating Floyd’s life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 1:00pm. The interment will follow in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
