Eileen Doris Paquette
January 8 1940 – September 8 2015
Eileen was born January 8 1940 in the Glen Mary District near Kinistino to Alexander and Helen Deschambeault. She passed away on September 8 2015 at the Pineview Care Home. She battled cancer and lived longer than the doctor’s expectations. She married Leonard (Leo) Paquette on December 2 1961. They had three children: James (Jim), Suzanne and Leanne. They resided in Albertville to raise their family. Eileen became widowed in July 1988.
Eileen was quite the homemaker. She and husband Leo grew a huge garden each year. Bringing in the harvest was quite a busy time of year. Eileen was also quite the culinary cook. Relatives were fortunate to be invited for supper. She was also a fantastic seamstress. Making blazers and dresses for her daughters. Another of her knacks was drawing. She would amaze her children by drawing them animals. Her daughter Leanne has followed in her footsteps by drawing and painting. She also played guitar and sang. She was renowned for her caring and giving spirit. She was witty and enjoyed to laugh. Fishing and camping up in northern Saskatchewan each summer was family custom. After becoming widowed, all her children moved to Edmonton for employment. With family being her priority, she moved there to be with them. So, when her children moved back to the Prince Albert area, she followed them back. About 15 years were spent in Alberta.
Eileen was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She embraced the hope that soon the Creator will cleanse the earth of all troubles and usher in his Kingdom. The very Kingdom mentioned in the “Our Father Prayer” This Kingdom will transform the earth into a paradise This hope is based on scripture Psalms 37:29 “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.” As well as Isaiah 65:21 “They will build houses and live in them, and they will plant vineyards and eat their fruitage.” See –jw.org
