Passed peacefully away, surrounded by the love of her family, on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Blanche Royal; siblings, Irene, Sadie, Veronica, Mary, Maurice and Brendon. Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memories, her husband and the love of her life for 47 years, Ron, her daughter, Cathy (Tom Howlett); her sisters, Margaret King and Catherine Power (Mike); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Patricia Matthews; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Thank you to our family and friends who spent countless hours at the hospital during this difficult journey. Thank you to the physicians and nurses at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Clinic, 4 North A at the Health Sciences Centre, and Palliative Care at the L.A. Miller Centre. Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Wednesday, September 16 from 11 am - 2 pm at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl with a private service at Barrett's Chapel following visitation for family and close friends.
