SIMPSON, GWENDOLYN YVONNE
1928 - 2015
Gwendolyn Yvonne Simpson, 86, of Hillsborough, wife of Vaughn "Bun", passed away on September 16th, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital. Gwen was born in Haliburton, ON on October 14th, 1928 the daughter of the late Cyril and Verna (Watt) Feir.
She worked for a few years at Eatons and as a Bell Telephone operator but her main job and priority in life was taking care of her family. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was also known for her great sense of humour. She would want all her family and friends to remember the good times they shared. "Treasure the memories"
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, Vaughn "Bun" Simpson; sons, Michael Simpson (Barb) of Hillsborough and Kevin Simpson of Shenstone; her treasured grandchildren, Erin, Jeffrey, Ashley and Grant; sister, Joyce Farrell (Bill) of Beamsville, ON; brother, Don Feir (Ann) of Wyevale, ON and by several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by all of Vaughn's family- The Simpsons.
Honoring Gwen's wishes there will be no visitation. A Private Memorial Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home at a later date. Interment will be held in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing, NB.
Donations to the Friends Of The Moncton Hospital or charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
The family would like to say a very heartfelt THANK YOU to the nurses and staff of the Moncton Hospital for all the caring and kindness shown to Gwen and all the family members, it will never be forgotten.
