BUTLER, Art (Robert Arthur) - Passed peacefully away, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre on February 4, 2009 at the age of 58 years. Leaving to mourn his two precious children: son Steven (Stacey Wakeling) and daughter Kari (Eric Hentzelt); two grandsons Blake and Cole who were the love of his life, all from Penticton, B.C. Also leaving to mourn parents: Neil and Rita Butler; brother Neil (Judy); sisters: Diane Collins, Sharon Follett (George), Rosalind Robertson (Jim), April Stead (Monty Dyke) and Lisa Rowe; special friend and mother of his children, Christine Butler; as well as Rev. Darryl Critch who guided him through his journey; aunts and uncle, Bert and Leah Lundrigan, Ed and Judy Lear; as well as many nephews, nieces and friends. Also leaving behind his “H.O.G. Buddies“ and all his other motorcycle friends. Special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre and to Drs. Rourke, Eaton and Coleman. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
