HUGH LLOYD SIMPSON

Hugh Simpson passed away at St. Joseph's Hospice, Sarnia, Ontario. Hugh was born in Chatham, Ontario and as a young man travelled west on his motorcycle to British Columbia settling in the Sechelt area. Hugh was a true woodsman who spent his life in the outdoors working in the logging industry. He was a self-educated naturalist, avid environmentalist, a skilled boat builder and carver.
Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Lloyd Simpson, he is survived by sisters Julie Simpson of Milton, Ontario, Jane Suter (Ron) of Burlington, Ontario, Janice Thomson (David) of Montreal, Quebec, brother Wayne Simpson (Betty) of Sarnia, Ontario, nieces Tracey, Sally, Lynn, Jill, Amy, Alison and nephew Paul.
A special thank you to Hugh's Sechelt friends for their kindnesses during his illness. Also thank you to doctors, nurses and staff of St. Joseph Hospice. Cremation has taken place. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, Ontario.
