O'BRIEN, VERNA MARGARET
Verna Margaret O'Brien, aged 80, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015. She was born to the late Raymond and Mary Earle (nee Kyle) on March 15, 1935 in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Verna is survived by her husband, John Edward O'Brien; her two children, Mary Katherine O'Brien and Joseph Kyle O'Brien; and grandson, Patrick Conor O'Brien.
Her eldest son, Sean Edward O'Brien, preceded her in death.
Verna lived a very active life, swimming daily into her eighties, was a member of many social organizations (including the UNB Faculty Women's Club) and had a keen interest and talent in both painting and handicrafts.
While most recently a resident of Fredericton, Verna lived for extended periods of time in Saint John, Sussex, Charlottetown and New Maryland.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York Street, Fredericton). A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel with Fr. Mark Trzop officiating. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Catholic Cemetery.
