Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Centre on Thursday, September 24, 2015, Veronica O'Reilly, age 79 years. Predeceased by her husband William, her parents Vincent and Mary Newman, as well as her four brothers and four sisters. Leaving to mourn are her sons Billy and Gary (Sharon); grandchildren Nicholas, Jeremy, Jordan and Maggie; three sisters Mag Griffiths, Mary Power and Imelda Griffin; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at the Placentia Health Centre, and especially to Dr. Penney, her long-time family doctor. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia with visitation on Thursday from 7pm to 9pm, and Friday from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11am on Saturday, September 26th at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater, followed by interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Freshwater.
