Elizabeth “Betty” Firing (nee Ryan), 65, passed away on Sept 26, 2015 due to complications from a stroke and scleroderma. Betty was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada to Marion and Thomas Ryan on Sept 27, 1949. She moved to Annapolis, MD in 1976 and later to Jupiter, FL which has been her home for the last 21 years.

Betty loved to read, watch movies and spend as much time as possible with family and friends. She frequently visited Annapolis to see her true joy, her grandson Ben, whom she showered with love. While she lived in Annapolis she worked for C&P Telephone Company where she gained friendships that are nearly 40 years strong.

She is survived by her husband Craig Firing of Jupiter, FL; daughter Rhonda Firing Bittel of Annapolis, MD; son-in-law Stewart Bittel of Annapolis, MD; grandson Benjamin Bittel of Annapolis, MD; siblings Sharon Edwards and husband Kirk of Moncton, New Brunswick, Geri Oliver of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Maureen Noseworthy of Marystown, Newfoundland and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty had many close friends who will all miss her dearly.
