CONNELL, CAROL
It is with heavy hearts the family of Carol Ann Connell, loving wife of Wayne Connell, announces her passing on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born 1951 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Loretta (Manual) Poirier.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sisters Carmel Poirier and Melita Rackley; brother Alex Martin.
In addition to her husband Wayne, she is survived by her sons Jay Erb (Julie Short) of Quispamsis and Derek Erb of Kingston; cherished grandchildren Sarah Erb, Sarah Short, Isaiah Smith, Malia Erb and Jackson Thompson; brothers Eldore Martin (Diane) of Baie Ste. Anne and Claude Poirier of Alberta; sister Monica Neal of Saint John; step-sons Christopher, Jason and Wayne Connell and step-grandchildren. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. A private family interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
