It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister and aunt, Frances MacSween on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at the Glace Bay Hospital, she was 74.
Growing up in Dominion, she was the oldest of four daughters of the late Archibald and Frances (MacNeil) McNeil.
A graduate of MacDonald High School in Dominion, she worked at General Instruments at one time and babysat many children, who will fondly remember her. Frances love to play bingo and crib and made many crafts over the years.
She will be deeply missed by her sister, Lillian (Ben) Legnaro, Phyllis Currie and Marlene (Ian) Stone. She will also be missed by niece and goddaughter, Benita (Brian) Dean and their children, Ben and Bree; niece, Melissa Butts and nephew, Sean (Emily) Currie.
Also left to mourn are her in-laws, Teddy and Delores and Fred and Mary MacSween; nieces, Anita, Elaine and nephews, Kevin and Wade.
Besides her parents, Frances was also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law and special aunt, Margaret MacDougall. She was also predeceased by a special nephew, Keith MacSween.
There was no visitation or service.
Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Glace Bay Emergency Department and the nurses and staff of 3 East Glace Bay Hospital. We couldn't have had a better group of people looking out for our sister. Also thanks to Dr. Ley for his care over the years.
Rest in Peace Frances.
Your loving family.
