The family of the late Florence (Johnston) Kowalchuk, wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to all those who visited, called, sent cards, flowers, donations, offered Masses and enrollments and sent food during her illness and after her passing. Your thoughtfulness and kindness during this very sorrowful time was greatly appreciated and will forever be remembered. It is during these difficult times that we realize how truly blessed we are to have loving family and friends. Special thanks to Father Roman Dusanowsky’s for officiating at the Panachyda and the Funeral Mass, the Peter Mombourquette for the Eulogy which was such an emotional and true picture of “Our Baba” to Catherine Woodford (soloist) for her angelic voice singing Baba’s favorite songs of comfort and to the Ukrainian Ladies Club for their Honour Guard and for preparing that luncheon following the Funeral Mass. We would also like to express our gratitude to Kollin Weatherbee and the staff at Sydney Memorial Chapel for their professionalism, kindness and compassion during our profoundly sad and difficult time, our sincere thanks to all. While death can separate us from our loved ones, we must remember that is is only for a short time; one day we will meet again in a better place.
