Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on October 10th, 2015, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Edgar and Sophie Rose; sister Sandra Jean Rose; brothers: Fred Rose and Gary Rose; brother-in-law David Chafe; friend Elizabeth Chafe. Leaving to mourn her husband Robert "Bob" Chafe; daughters: Anita Connors (Andreau), Jennifer Ryan (Gary Brown), and Judy Ryan (Jeff) and their father Philip Ryan (Judy Lundrigan); stepsons: Troy Abbott and Mark Abbott (Jennifer); stepdaughter Lacey Coish (Jeffrey); grandchildren: Aaron, Alyssia, Arielle Connors, Sophia and Jacob Brown, Julian, Adrian, Joshua, and Ashton Au and their father John Au; sisters: Elizabeth Malone (Edward) and Joan Mason (Mike); brothers: Gordon Rose (Lorraine), Robert Rose (Theresa), George Rose, Wayne Rose and Jeff Rose (Wanda); special sister-in-law Daphne Chaulk (Austin); sisters-in-law: Judy Hutton(Art), Beverly Grace - Thornton(Fred); brothers-in-law: Fred Chafe (Barb), Derek Chafe (Jean) and Reg Chafe (Ann); long-time friends: Laverne, Robin, Darlene, Sylvia, Ann and Tony, Doug and Sharon, Anne and Tony Maher; special friends: Donna and Marie. Last but not least- close to her heart her dart family at Tols, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday October 10th from 7pm-9pm, Sunday October 11th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm, Monday October 12th from 10am-12noon. Funeral service will take place at St. George`s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour on Monday October 12th at 2pm, cremation following service. Donations will be accepted on behalf of Carol Ann Chafe and the family will pass the donation to a cause that's important to her "The Darts for Boobs". Interment will take place at a later date.
